Glass Swaps: Why?

A large window in a beige wall frames a view of pine trees, a lake, and distant mountains under a cloudy sky.

Why swap window glass? Because it’s cheaper, quicker, and easier than swapping the whole window, frame and all!

Gridline Glass Swap

A double window on a gray house, with a ladder leaning nearby and a garden hose reel below. A white statue and rocks are in the foreground; an American flag and trees are reflected in the window.

Windows like the above photo with gridlines are very common especially in the street facing windows in homes built during the early 2000’s.

Window Glass Swap

A sunlit rural scene viewed through a window with lace curtains, showing a bare tree, a van, a bird feeder, a fenced field, and distant trees under a blue sky with clouds.

Bird? BB? Rock? The hole was small enough to have been caused by all three and the deciding piece of evidence missing.

New Pella Lifestyle Sliding Doors

Large glass doors open to a sunny deck overlooking a lake, with patio furniture, potted plants, and mountains visible in the distance under a clear sky.

Out with the old and in with the new. The “old new doors” although installed just a few years ago, were letting in a lot of wind & cold air during the winters. They weren’t Pella ;-).

Wood Door Glass Swap

A glass door frames a view of a deck with colorful towels hanging on the railing, overlooking a lake and forested mountains under a partly cloudy sky.

We recently helped a Whitefish client with replacing the glass in an old wooden door.

Pella Lifestyle French Door

A pair of black-framed glass doors reflect a grassy yard with trees and a swing set. The door frame is partially unfinished with exposed construction materials.

The guys had a good time installing this beautiful Pella Lifestyle French Door! It’s a very popular and more modern look compared to a traditional french door.

Window Replacement

A two-story white house with five windows, some open, a small fan in one window, gray wooden stairs, green shrubs below, and tall trees in the background under a blue sky.

We’ve been busy installing new windows for clients here in the Flathead Valley and wow some the days have been hot!!
